How Old Do You Have To Be To Be Red

Fashion Week Fall 2012 Thursday February 9th BCBG & Houghton
For many, Fashion Week is one big party, but for some of us, it's sun-up to WAY-past sundown. WHile I'll be reviewing the shows in much more detail later on, here's the day in photos. Hope you like it. – Alison Blackman Dunham, Writer & Photographer)–
First show of the day: BCBG. This was a very popular show and the Theater at Lincoln Center was absolutely packed. I was on the photographer's riser. It's even more crowded than it looks.
Every weary editor needs a bit of down time and pampering. The Elizabeth Arden Beauty Bus was just the pick me up I'd been waiting for. Makeup artist and Retail DIrector for Red Door Spas Lindsay Ebbin did this gorgeous makeup, in which he did the lips first, then the eyes! He did a sort of reverse smoky eye with a plum shadow where the shadow wings out a bit. The look is sexy but fresh. Hair Stylist and National Creative Director for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas, Zahir Ziani and his team freshened up my hair style that had flopped in the wind (recently colored by David Stanko using a new, Redken Chromatics color with no amonia). I left feeling absolutely fabulous! All day long people stopped me (even some who didn't know me) to comment on how I looked, and especially the hair. There is nothing like the Red Door Spa to feel fabulous. If you ever want to give me a gift, an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa Gift Certificate is perfect! Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas has moved to new flagship facility at 663 Fifth Avenue., It occupies two full floors of the Ferragamo Building. Elizabeth Arden opened her first location on Fifth Avenue in 1910, but this new, state-of-the-art facility has got to be amazing.
If you are visiting NYC (or live her) call 212-546-0200 or visit www.reddoorspas.comThe Hougton Presentation – Visions in White, at Avery Fisher Hall, has to be one of the most stunning shows I've ever seen. The show featured all winter-white fashions, from Creative Director Katherine Polk. The hair, by L'Oreal Professionnel Master Session Artist, Laura Polko (shown here with members of her team) created three hairstyles, featuring romantic curls with dramatic side parts. Variations included loose curls worn down or twisted into a low bun, and either tucked or slicked back behind the left ear. L'Oreal Professionnel Mousee Volupte, and L'Oreal Professionnel Lumi Controle were used to volumize and then create the defined part. I will be writing this up in more detail later on (trust me, you will NOT want to miss my review so bookmark my web site or follow me on Twitter @advicesisters (or both).
The makeup by Anneliesse Tieck, featured custom-blended eyes and lips using a variety of makeup lines (including NARS and MAC). The same products used on the eyes were used for the lips. While red eyes may not be for everyone, they looked amazing with the white clothes.
